Friday, January 9.
Time: 8:00 to 10:00 pm.

All worn out from the holidays? Relax in a cozy and comfortable spot with good friends and BLAZ. The Duo offers an eclectic variety of music from traditional and modern Blues to bluesy Jazz to original tunes by Mr.Blu! We may be recorded for local access television this time around so we would really like to have a nice crowd on hand. Be on television with us!

Food, wine, beer, coffee and tea! No cover charge and no minimum. Just good music, food and beverages.

3311 Rhode Island Avenue, Mt. Rainier, MD. on the southeast corner of the traffic circle when you come into town from the north on Route 1. There is free parking about a block away. Just come in first and inquire where it is. Otherwise ya gotta feed the meters.

Dave Gorozdos - Keyboard and Vocals

We hope to see you there!

BLAZ -- Blues & Jazz
Returns to Urban Eats Arts and Music Cafe 3311 Rhode Island Ave, Mt Rainier, MD

Friday, November 21.
8:00 to 10:00 pm

Blu on Vocals, Mississippi Saxophones

and Adolphe Saxophones

Dave Gorozdos on Keys and Vocals

Here's the Deal!
No cover charge, no minimum.
Enjoy good food at a reasonable price, plus your favorite beverage.
Family friendly. Or bring your hot date.

It's a tips gig for the band. The cafe recommends a $5 bill in the tip can. We hope you will bring various Dead Presidents and Founding Fathers to fill it up.

BLAZ - Blues & Jazz with Blu on vocals, Mississippi and Adolph Saxophones (harp and sax) and Alan Burroughs on Keyboards will be appearing at Urban Eats Arts & Music Cafe, Friday nite, October 17, 8:00 to 10:00 pm.

We'll be delving into Blues and Jazzy Blues - from Caldonia (What makes your big head so hard?) to Sonny Rollins' Blue Seven. Plus some of Blu's originals from the CD Brothers From Other Mothers - which will be on sale of course.

Hey, if you don't know who Blu is, think of this: The artist formerly known as Harmonica Blu!

There is fine food - salads sandwiches (carnivore and vegetarian) and of course a selection of coffees and teas and beer! It is a spacious and comfortable place where you can sit at a table, a booth or on a couch.

One more thing. There is no cover and no minimum. Hurrah! But, it is a tips gig for us. So if you like the music we'd like to make the acquaintance of some Dead Presidents. Just dance up to the jar and let 'em float in.

Address and directions:
The cafe is at 3311 Rhode Island Avenue in Mount Rainer, Maryland. No big hills to climb! It is just below the traffic circle on the southeast corner as you enter the town coming down Route 1. (Baltimore Ave (Rte 1) changes to Rhode Island Ave at the interchange near Hamilton Street about a mile north of the cafe.)

Heads up! Put this on your Calendar: Blaz Duo (Blues and Jazz) at Urban Eats, 3311 Rhode Island Ave, Mt. Rainier, MD 20712. Friday, Oct 17, 8-10 pm. No cover, no minimum, fine food, teas, coffees. Please bring Dead Presidents for the Tip Jar. G. Washington would be fine but Franklin, Lincoln and that s.o.b. Jackson would be greatly appreciated. Me, Blu, on vocals Mississippi Saxes and Adolph Saxes and Alan Burroughs on piano/keys.
